Windsurfing Insurance

If you haven't tried windsurfing before and you enjoy a challenge, the wind, action and speed then you really should give it a go. Windsurfing insurance is a definite must when doing this sport as it can be very hard. When you start out you seem to spend more time in the water than out of it and you end up with bruises all over your body. As you get better you tend to go out further from the shore, into stronger winds and therefore raising the potential for danger.

As with any water based sport there are always risks of being swept out to sea, potential need for rescue and also hospital treatment however what makes this sport different is the better at it you get the more at risk you become. As you improve it is all about going faster, harder and further. Pushing your ability to next level and taking risks. This means stronger winds, bigger waves and therefore more adrenaline. When you start out though it is imperative that you learn with a reputable school, with qualified instructors and with all the right safety equipment like life jackets etc. Although the pros make it look a doddle it isn't and you will no doubt feel like you have drunk half the sea before you get anywhere but stick with as it is a fantastic sport that can be so rewarding.

* We must agree with any equivalent qualification. If You do not hold a qualification, We will only cover you to dive to a depth of 18 metres. You will not be covered under this policy if you travel by air within 24 hours of participating in scuba diving.
