Martial Arts (Training only) Insurance

Martial Arts Insurance is graded as a level 2 sport because of the possibility of injury associated to the sport. Our martial arts insurance offers cover for the training side of the sport rather than competitive so it is important that you do not compete at all as you will not be covered. Martial Arts are becoming ever more popular in the UK as people are looking for ways to combine physical training along with mental training too.

There are lots of different companies in the UK offering martial arts holidays that allow you to combine an exotic location, namely Thailand or the Philippines perhaps, along with the a hard training camp at the home of the sport. You are trained in the same environment as the locals and put through your paces to the same exacting standards. It is of course an incredible way to hone and further your skills and improve your fitness no end.

However as can be expected martial arts do not come without their risks. Even when training you can be prone to injury. Due to the physical nature of the sport and the intensity of the training you can sprain or strain numerous muscles or joints, break fingers or toes and even take hits and punches. All of these injuries can be both very painful and also expensive if requiring hospital treatment. The level of risk is such that martial arts training insurance is regarded as a level 2 grade of cover so never travel without it.

* We must agree with any equivalent qualification. If You do not hold a qualification, We will only cover you to dive to a depth of 18 metres. You will not be covered under this policy if you travel by air within 24 hours of participating in scuba diving.

Canyoning, Hang Gliding, High Diving under 5m (amateur, excluding cliff diving), Horse Jumping (no Polo, Hunting), Kite Surfing, Micro Lighting, Parascending / Parasailing (over land, non Incidental), Rock Climbing (under 2,000m), Rock Scrambling (under 4,000m).
